Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. --Albert Einstein

The devil appeared to three monks and said to them: "If I gave you the power to change something in the past, what would you change?"

The first of them, with great apostolic fervor, replied: "I would like to prevent you from leading Adam and Eve to sin, so that humanity does not separate from God."

The second, a man full of mercy, said to him: "I will prevent you from straying from God and condemning you forever."

The third of them was the simplest and instead of answering the tempter, he knelt down, made the sign of the cross, and prayed: "Lord, deliver me from the temptation of what might have been and what was not."

The demon, screaming and trembling with pain, fled.

The other two were surprised and said to him: "Brother, why did you react like this?"

And he answered them: “First, we should never talk to the enemy.”

“Secondly, no one in the world has the power to change the past.”

“Third: Satan’s interest was not to prove our virtue, but to trap us in the past, so that we neglect the present, the only time God gives us His grace and we can cooperate with Him to fulfill His will.”

Of all the demons, the one that most holds men back and prevents them from being happy is “what could have been and was not.” The past is left to the mercy of God and the future to His providence. Only the present is in our hands. Live today loving God with all your heart.

Spiritual Divine: The Soul Never Ages

by Olivia Salter

The idea that the soul has no age is rooted in the understanding that the soul is not bound by time or the limitations of the physical world. It exists outside of our physical bodies and experiences, transcending the concept of age and the passing of time.

When we speak of age, we typically refer to the physical body and the years it has been on this earth. As bodies grow and change, they go through different stages of life—infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and so on. But the soul remains constant, untouched by the effects of aging.

The concept of the soul having no age is not to say that it is timeless in the sense of existing forever. Rather, it implies that the soul exists beyond the confines of time altogether. It is eternal and exists in what some may call the spiritual realm, where time and space as we know them do not apply.

Think of the soul as a spark of divine energy that is temporarily housed within a physical body. While the body goes through the processes of birth, growth, and eventual decay, the soul remains unchanged, carrying within it the essence of its true nature.

The purpose of our existence in these physical bodies is to develop and refine our souls. We are given the opportunity to nurture our souls through experiences, connections, and spiritual practices. It is through this process that the soul expands its capacity to perceive and connect with the higher power, the Creator.

The age of the body has no bearing on the soul's development. It is the effort and intention put into nurturing the soul that determines its growth and progress. It is a journey that continues beyond the constraints of our physical existence.

In the pursuit of spiritual growth, we strive to align our desires and intentions with those of the Creator. By cultivating qualities such as love, compassion, and generosity, we are able to attune our souls to the higher forces of the universe. This alignment leads to a deeper sense of connection and fulfillment.

Ultimately, the realization that the soul has no age brings about a profound shift in our perspective on life and the purpose of our existence. It encourages us to shift our focus from the external trappings of the physical world to the inner essence of our being. It invites us to explore the depths of our souls and embark on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth.

In conclusion, the soul has no age because it exists beyond the limitations of time and the physical realm. It is eternal, and its growth and development are independent of the age of the body. Embracing this understanding allows us to cultivate a deeper connection with our true selves and the higher forces that govern the universe.
